Who You Should Recommend?

We depend greatly on teachers, counselors and faculty to recommend participants for the World Affairs Seminar experience.  You know which of your students will get the most out of the World Affairs Seminar.  Here are some suggestions for finding the right fit:

1)  Enthusiastic and Curious:  Students who search out projects, look for knowledge and ask a lot of questions are good candidates for WAS.

2) Independent thinkers:  Willingness to view different, sometimes unpopular sides of an issue is valued at WAS.

3)  Good Self Discipline:  At WAS, the good of the group trumps a single individual's need for attention.  Individualism is celebrated, but we also believe good leadership is based on teamwork and consideration for the rights and needs of others.

4) All Personalities Count:  At WAS sometimes individuals who seem shy find themselves blossoming and growing.

5) Good judgement:  This quality speaks for itself.

6)  If you have questions, give us a call.  If you have more students than scholarships, GIVE US A CALL - we will do everything we can to help you find resources.
