PUBLISHED MARCH 12, 2020.

The Wisconsin World Affairs Council (dba World Affairs Seminar) is closely monitoring the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Our staff and board of directors are staying abreast of recommendations made by government and public health agencies, including the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the US State Department, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and our local public health departments.  We are also coordinating all decisions with the staff at Carroll University.

We are committed to prompt and accurate communications with program participants, parents, sponsors and other partners regarding the developing situation. At this time, no schedule changes for the 2020 World Affairs Seminar have been made. As the seminar is scheduled for June 20-26, 2020, we will continue to monitor the situation in the coming weeks and months, working closely with our camp operator and host, Carroll University, in order to make an informed decision going forward.

Continued program-related updates will be shared at https://worldaffairsseminar.org/coronavirus/ .

Our primary goal is to keep our participants, parents, sponsors and other partners safe and informed. Anyone with a respiratory or other health condition should take all necessary precautions and seek medical advice from their family practitioner and/or another medical professional.

Because this situation is evolving daily, these guidelines are subject to change as emerging events warrant. Our leadership team will monitor conditions regularly and make adjustments to this summer’s program as needed with the well-being of our participants top of mind, and we will communicate those changes to everybody involved.

Any questions should be sent to contact@worldaffairsseminar.org.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and support.
