Congratulations on your selection to participate in World Affairs Seminar 2022: Reimagining Global Health and Wellness: Contagious Ideas! Our program will be held Saturday, June 18-24, 2022, in-person at Carroll University and virtually via Zoom. We are excited that you will be joining us. To date, we have over 150 delegates registered to participate from across the United States and other nations throughout the globe. To help you prepare, we invite you to visit our official Guidebook website.

This Guidebook will be your complete resource to navigating the 2022 World Affairs Seminar, whether joining us in-person or virtually. On the Guidebook you will find arrival information, agendas, speaker biographies, and many other resources essential to having a successful, engaging, and FUN week at WAS. Be sure to carefully preview as much information as you can before the seminar so that you know what to expect during our time together. The Guidebook will be continually updated prior to and during the seminar – be sure to refresh the page often! We also strongly suggest bookmarking this resource on your personal device so you can conveniently locate it throughout the seminar week.

Included below is some information for all delegates and their families:

  • Make sure you have submitted ALL necessary registration forms prior to arrival! If you still have missing forms, you should have received an email from our Registrar, Karlene Fox. If you are uncertain whether all your forms have been received, you can contact her at kfox@worldaffairsseminar.org.
  • If you registered to attend in-person: We look forward to seeing you on campus! Please plan to arrive to Carroll University’s Campus Center (101 North East Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186) for check-in on Saturday, June 18 between 12:00 and 5:00 PM CDT. If you are not able to arrive during the designated time, please let Karlene know at kfox@worldaffairsseminar.org During check-in you will receive your dorm assignment, group assignment and check in with the nurse. You then can stow your personal items in the dorm room and meet your roommate. Other arrival and packing information can be found on the Guidebook. Departure is Friday, June 24, any time after you have finished breakfast and said your good-byes, but before noon, please.  There is no programming on Friday; it is strictly a travel day.
  • If you are driving yourself: You can park temporarily and register as described in the paragraph above.  As you register, let the staff know that you are driving and they will direct you to the parking area where you are to leave your car for the week. Once your car is parked and locked, you need to turn your keys in to the WAS office. They will held for safety reasons and be returned to you Friday morning, June 24th.
  • If you are arriving via plane: Be sure to complete the Transportation Request form available on our registration page (if you have not done so already) so that we can plan for your arrival to MKE or ORD. Contact kfox@worldaffairsseminar.org ASAP with any changes in your flight itinerary.
  • COVID-19 Information: The World Affairs Seminar deeply values the health and safety of every delegate, counselor, staff member, and guest that attends our 2022 seminar. To best protect all participants, and in accord with Carroll University’s current COVID-19 related policies, WAS has adopted several protocols for the in-person component of our upcoming program, including a mask/face-covering requirement and a negative laboratory-conducted PCR test prior to arrival. Click Here to view our full policy and protocol on our Guidebook.
  • If you registered to attend virtually: We look forward to seeing you online! The Guidebook will be a valuable resource for you! Most academic sessions will be offered synchronously via the web-conferencing platform Zoom. All Zoom links and credentials will be shared with virtual delegates prior to the start of the seminar.

More information will be shared via email with delegates, families, and sponsors as we get closer to June 18. If you have any questions, you may contact any of the individuals listed below:

We hope you are looking forward to an exciting week! See you soon.
