The following is a statement from the World Affairs Seminar (WAS) regarding recent events at the 2019 seminar.

First, a delegate was expelled from the Seminar for having a small amount of a marijuana, which is a violation of the standards of behavior all delegates agree to as part of the application process. Carroll University Campus Security participated in the process as did the Waukesha Police Department, which is standard procedure.  No citations were issued and the only room which was searched was that of the person involved, who gave permission for the search.

Second, three previous WAS attendees were banned from WAS and Carroll University for attempting to fraudulently attend the Seminar.  The individuals involved have sent WAS a letter of apology and have agreed not to return to the Seminar.
