Dear Tom Plantenberg and WAS Team,

Thank you for all of your great work to design, develop, market and deliver a great experience for young people in bringing Peace Through Understanding at WAS 2019 – The Promise and Perils of Social Media.

The Rotary Meeting yesterday was excellent.  The opening ceremony last Saturday was a great kick-off to the week.  Speaking with delegates at lunch validated delegate interest and learning.  Walking among the displays yesterday and speaking with the delegates about their capstone projects was a wonderful experience.  I found the delegates enthusiastic, insightful and eloquent.  Their many different approaches to Social Media were creative and generally very well informed.  I learned some new things in the process.  I had not noticed in the past the presence of college recruiters at WAS – this was a nice touch.  It appears that delegates will leave Waukesha and Carroll with broadened perspective on the world and new friends.

I know it was a team effort with the input and participation of many, many people – professional staff, counselors, senior staff, board members, and many others.  Thank you all.  You are an inspiration and you are making a difference.  Kudos to all for a great year!
